Happy launch to Sunny Rae and their cute, fun, and happy brand! Sunny Rae makes baby products for moms (specifically baby bibs) that are practical, cute, AND affordable. Ashley, Ashley, and Ashley (yes, their names are all Ashley) saw a gap in the market for baby bibs that are well-made AND accessible, so they set out to create their own!
In the strategy and research phase of the project, we decided it was important to highlight the fact that their products are made by moms who understand what it is like to be a mother and created a product out of their own need. Out of this idea came the tagline “made by moms for moms” that is seen throughout the brand.
For the visuals of the brand, we went with a bright color palette and happy icons that reflect the values of their business to bring light and joy to mothers and families. We had a lot of fun with the typography and used a retro, playful serif for the main logo as well as other bold fonts for the rest of the designs. We customized the “S” and the “R” to enhance the lively vibe of the brand and create a balanced composition.
The result of all these elements is a playful and bright brand that is reflective of baby products while also appealing to the mothers who purchase them.
It was such a joy to work on this bold, retro brand that is full of so much personality!
